At the Department of Microbiology, we work with research, development, and diagnostics in the field of infectious diseases in animals. In the section for pre- post and support, we receive and register incoming samples and communicate test results.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of our administration team and work with the ongoing registration of referral forms related to the samples we receive for analysis. The work mainly involves scanning incoming referrals, registering customer information for test results and invoicing, as well as sending out test results via our in-house developed laboratory data system SVALA.

In a rotating schedule, you will also be part of our support function where you have direct contact with our customers via phone and email. Handling supplier invoices and travel expenses will also be included. Other administrative tasks may also arise. It may also be relevant to assist the lab staff, e.g., with the registration of incoming sample shipments.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma and relevant experience in similar types of work with registration, e.g., as an order receiver. You have experience with customer contacts or customer support via phone. You are interested in and have good IT skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You are quick, accurate, flexible, and eager to learn. It is important that you enjoy ongoing tasks and are prepared for the work to involve daily short deadlines and occasionally a high pace in a sometimes lively environment. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team.

In this position, you need to have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Desirable

• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Experience equivalent to a medical secretary

Conditions

The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period.
